Cordless Clippers Recommendation | Remington Hc6550 Cordless Vacuum Haircut Kit

Hey there, this is a quick review of the Remington HC 6550 vacuum haircut kit. My name is Justin Rosales with Resolus Recommendations, and I've been buzzing my hair for over 20 years.

I used to have one of those wall-mounted clippers, but it broke after years of use. I was browsing Amazon for a replacement and stumbled across this, priced around $60. I've been using it for a year and a half now, and it's super helpful. Here are some quick pros and cons:

PROS

Cordless: No more worrying about staying near an outlet, and no risk of getting electrocuted if the cord gets cut.

• Powerful vacuum: Catches most of the trimmings, making cleanup a breeze. This is especially helpful for thick hair like mine.

Carrying case: Makes it easy to take the kit anywhere.

• Affordable: Great value for the price.

Easy to use: Just attach the guard and turn it on.

• Efficient: Cuts cleanly and quickly, unlike my old clippers.

CONS

• Learning curve: When switching from corded clippers, it takes some time to adjust to the lighter pressure needed with this one.

• Limited guard options: No in-between guard lengths, so you might not get your exact desired cut.

Overall, I'm very happy with the Remington HC 6550. It's convenient, effective, and affordable. If you're looking for a good cordless vacuum haircut kit, I highly recommend it.

I hope this helps! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or recommendations.

I actually used to have one of those Wahl brand clippers, but it broke. It had a cord, it broke after so many years, so I was looking on Amazon trying to find some type of replacement. I stumbled across this; it was about 60 bucks at the time on Amazon. I figured I might as well try it out. I've been using it for a year and a half now, and it's super helpful. I'm going to give you some quick pros and cons, and then also show you what it looks like cutting my hair before and after. And then, also in the link in the description, I'll show you where you can actually find this and get more information. Let's jump into the pros. First of all, it's cordless, you don't have to worry about staying close to the wall, or, I don't know if this is actually real, but that fear I always had of the cord getting cut in the trimmers and then getting electrocuted, that whole thing, you don't have to worry about that at all. With a four-hour charge, it lasts for 60 minutes. After each cut, I just plug it in, it takes me about like 15 to 20 minutes to cut my hair, and then I'm good to go. My wife even takes this over to her dad's house and cuts his hair, so it's a very nice, very neat feature, and I love that I don't have to worry about the cord. Next, there is this amazing vacuum, so there's this vacuum that when you turn it on and you start cutting your hair, it catches most of the trimmings. And so, for me, I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this, but for me, my hair is very, very thick, so when you're walking around, if you step on it, it's like getting a splinter. My wife hates it, I hate it, I've had it since I was little, just one of those annoying things. So this catches most of it, so that the cleanup after the fact is very, very quick and very, very easy. Next, it comes with this neat carrying case. Like I said, my wife takes it over to her dad's house to be able to cut his hair. You could put all the guards in it, you could put your scissors in it, it comes with scissors too, it comes with this little brush, it's very neat and very easy to carry around. Next, it's extremely cheap. For 60 bucks, which is what I got it for on Amazon, this thing is still going strong a year and a half later. Like I said, I've been doing this every other week, I've been cutting my hair, and that's probably 30 to 40 different haircuts that I've had so far, and I've never had any problems with this yet. Also, it's super quick to use. I literally just take off the guard that's protecting it, I put on my guard, and then I just turn it on and I'm good to go, and I can start cutting. And finally, this is super great at cutting. I used to think that I had to go over a place three to four different times with my old Wahl plugged-in one. This one's fine, I go over a couple of times and I'm good to go. Okay, so that will bring me to the cons. When I first started using this, I was applying the same pressure that I used to have when I was using the corded clippers. I had to go at a certain angle, I had to kind of press down really hard, and also hold on to the guard to make sure that it didn't fall off. But while doing all of that and applying the same pressure to this one, I started to dig into my scalp and it irritated it. So, if you're switching over, I would recommend just going over easy first and getting used to it. So, after the first couple of clips, and I realized I didn't have to press as hard, I just went over it, and I haven't had any issues with it since. And the other con is, they don't have in-between guards. So when I had the Wahl corded clippers, there was like a 1, a 1.5, a 2, a 2.5, or I can get customized guards from different places. Uh, you can't really, I couldn't find customized guards for this one, so I kind of had to go from my normal 1.5 down to one. Okay, so next I'm going to show you how this performs, but before we go into that, the whole goal of this video, this channel is to be able to help you save time, money, and resources so you can focus on more of what you love. If this video was helpful for you, do me a favor and like it or consider subscribing for future videos like this. And if you actually do want to consider this, the link to it can be found in the description. Now, full disclaimer, I did not get paid to make this video, this is truly my opinion, but Amazon sometimes will pay me for sending you their way. It costs you nothing extra, they would just give me a small commission, but wanted to let you know that. You can find it in the description for more information. Okay, so with that, let's jump into how this performs. [Music] Okay, so remember I mentioned that there is a vacuum feature that catches the majority of the hair. So, if it starts to overfill, or uh, you need to just empty it out halfway through because you haven't cut your hair in a while, you can actually either turn it upside down into the trash, or you can open this little hatch thing here, and then dump it out, and then put it back in, ready to continue. Now, I want to know, what do you think of this? Did you think of something I missed? Do you have another recommendation? Let us all know in the comments. And if this video was helpful for you, please let me know by giving it a like or subscribing for more videos like this to be able to help you save time, money, and resources so you can focus on more of what you love. We'll see you again soon. Take care.
